My Grandmother Eula for was already a Ford her mother was Easter Ford later she married Israel Meeks or Meek but they all came up in Johnson Township.  My cousin Elder Greg Ford and I have been trying to get information on the Fords on that side. Two of the children belonged to James Meek and the others belonged to Henry Pratt they were mulatto and did not wear the names of their slave owners.  Researched from (familysearch.org). I was fortunate enough to find my Great-Great grandmother and her name was Harriet.  Her sons were Green, Robert and Rafe Ford and maybe more children.  Eula Fords brothers were James Meek, Dock Ford, Marshall Ford (Taylor on Hillsboro when I was a child) Garland Ford (Elder Gregs Grandfather) Huratio and only one sister Hattie Ford Harrison lived in Eldorado and Calion where all landed after leaving Alabama on the Wagon Train.
